Living Supernaturally

In the midst of a 17-week revival meeting in Milford, Connecticut, (from February to June 2005), God spoke to me, David Martin, some of the strongest words ever. He basically said three things:

1. He said that very difficult and hard times were coming to America, and that we were not prepared for them. This was four months prior to the Katrina disaster, and my guess is that Katrina was just a wake-up call to much more challenging times ahead.

2. He said that we were not taking His Word seriously. He specifically showed me that this was true in the area of our thoughts, words, and actions. He said, "I am not mocked, and what people sow, they will reap." This is true in every area of life, including your thoughts, words, and actions. If you were to reap today what you sowed yesterday, what kind of harvest would you get? Most of us have given little thought about our criticisms, judgments, and malicious thoughts of others, as well as of ourselves. If we sow love, we get love, and if we sow jealously, we are going to reap jealousy. We like to think about sowing and reaping in relation to our giving, and we like to focus on the multiplied return. Well, the same principal applies to our thoughts, words, and actions. God told me that major areas were fear, doubt, and unbelief. We have to establish our trust in God and refuse to give place to any thought, word, or action that go against His will and Word.

3. He said emphatically: "We, as the Body of Christ, are more wrapped up in ourselves with self-centeredness and selfishness than in compassion for others and are not fully about the Father's business."

As you can see in this brief recapitulation, the major emphasis for me is in the second point. Within a week of receiving this message from God, He began bringing to me a tremendous amount of scientific information confirming what He had said. I have never been too interested in quantum physics, but God has brought such compelling information to me that I have had no choice but to dig in to a degree in this fascinating area.

What is so amazing is how science, today, is confirming God's Word. He has told us quite clearly that life and death are in the power of the tongue, and that as a man thinks in his heart, so is he. All a man has to do is look on a woman lustfully, and he has already committed adultery. These are simple but powerful truths that we need to give heed to.

God showed me something really powerful concerning the tree of knowledge of good and evil. What science is now discovering is that every thought has an effect on us physically. Your thoughts directly affect your DNA and indirectly affect your quality of life.

From a very simplistic perspective, good thoughts (thoughts of love or any God based thought) cause your DNA to relax. Bad thoughts, (devil based thoughts, such as fear, doubt and unbelief) cause your DNA to tighten. In the tightened mode, your immune system is affected in a negative way, and your mind is robbed of the chemicals and proteins that are needed to think clearly and creatively. There are other repercussions on your physical body which affect your good health.

Knowing this, you can understand why Paul was so emphatic in telling us to bring every thought that exalts itself against the knowledge of God into captivity and to only think and dwell on those things that are godly. I could go on and on, this is just an introduction to what God is saying, and there is more to the revelation that He has given to me in how to walk in the fullness of life that He has come to give us.
